EqualSpace 2025 End of Year Impact Report

As we close out the year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what it looked like to build in community.

The EqualSpace 2025 End of Year Impact Report captures a year shaped by connection, creativity, and shared effort across our ES89 and ES550 campuses. It brings together stories, milestones, and moments that show how access to space continues to support founders, artists, educators, and partners building in Newark.

This year reminded us that community is not abstract. It is something people choose every day. It lives in the rooms where ideas are shared, in the partnerships that grow over time, and in the spaces where people feel safe to build what they imagine. The report reflects that lived experience through a mix of narrative, data, and visual documentation.

EqualSpace has never been just a workspace. It is a community built with
intention, grounded in equity, and powered by people who believe in
growing together. Thank you for continuing to build this vision alongside
us. Together, we will keep shaping a Newark that grows, thrives, and leads
through collective effort

Take Space: A Conversation to Accompany the 2025 Impact Report

Alongside the release of our 2025 End of Year Impact Report, we also recorded a special episode of our podcast, TAKE SPACE, to reflect on the year in conversation.

Titled “2025. Phew, That Was a Time.”, this episode brings members of the EqualSpace team together to talk through what the year required of our communities, why space matters right now, and how we continued showing up for one another through moments of uncertainty and growth. The conversation expands on the themes explored in the report, offering context, reflection, and lived perspective behind the numbers and stories.

The episode marks the beginning of TAKE SPACE as a platform for community dialogue, reflection, and storytelling rooted in Newark and shaped by the people building within it.
